Don't miss out. This sword is worth every penny. The weight alone makes it a must buy as one swing could easily disarm an opponent (literally as well). With a little bit of TLC and some epoxy, it was good as new (Better without the handle guard). Has a 1/8" rib running down each side, which is where they get the 1/2" from. It seems to be a bit loose but none the less adequate. It does have a few problems, but they dont detract enough to really complain. Well worth the money. Saw complaints anout your swords weight, they wouldn't have lived long around Greeks, Spartans, or Vikings. After it dried everything was fine, putting it through a few tests today. =), I just got this sword last night this is the first in my collection and i am extremely impressed not part of this sword is plastic, pure metal and and the leather hilt, the sword is not sharp but i dont care because i can easily sharpen it and it looks extremely sharp which makes for a great display this is a MUST for a collector who is into barbarian, fantasy or historical swords and for any 300 fan I LOVE THIS SWORD but since i am currently an amatuer sword collector this is an amatuer opinion on waht makes for a good sword but for now this is DEFINEATLY a 5 star. suffice to say it does build your bicep, shoulder, and chest muscles. This isn't exactly a draw back as I don't see many people carrying a shield as well, but this sword can still be handled at center-top for easy one hand usage. But this blade is worth the money. This sword is surprisingly heavy, I believe it weighs more than 10 lbs. An excellent replica, and a perfect fit to my collection. but over all cool sword only problem was loose wrapping on handle note to ad a lot lighter than expected swings easy one handed it is a cool sword. This thing was sharp right out of the box,cut through milk jugs like butter! It absolutely dwarfs my previous Spartan sword. Now I have a piece of rod iron. Though the blade is excellant, the tang could use improvement, by say, making out of one solid piece of metal and having a thin cylinder of wood over the handle, so if the handle splits, you can still use it and not worry about looseness. (This all happend the same day it was delivered) I just wove a figure 8 into and around the handle and now it feels and works perfect. sword is immaculate very real to the touch and the delivery is prompt! I repaired it best I could, but it's still lose so when you swing it, it knocks in ypur hand (and as from what I read mine is not the only handle issue,) the blade has some 'bubbles' here and there and knicks but it looks more battle worn so I like it. Its got a good weight and the tip is nice and solid. Original Price 188.85 I re-wrapped the cheapie naugahide wrapping and glued it down as well. this sword is sweetand the spartans swords didnt look anything close to this they were more of a gladius type swordand its for show not use stop complaining about the grip. it came sharp and pre-oiled.
mine didnt match the picture, i got a darker handle wrap, and the blade is black, except where its sharpend, so that kinda matches, but it looks great and feels Very solid. This sword is WAY heavier then expected. Awesome display piece and excellent fallback in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. This thing is heavy, sharp, bad to the bone, NO handle problems at all. I love the rough and rustic look of the blade, it makes the sword look like an authentic and well preserved antique. these things are HUGE. Being somewhat of a sword fanatic I know a little something about them and this one is extremely impressive. Finally got this sword in the mail yesterday, knowing about the looseness of the leather strip on the hilt already I tore it off right away to reglue it. These Swords are inspired by the real sword carried by King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans at the Battle of Thermopylae. Great buy.

You almost have to use two hands to control it properly. The metal of this thing is WOW. The main annoyance is its weight. The wrapped handle is contoured and surrounded by the distinctive . Honshu Spartan Sword with Sheath The back end of the sword is cheaply made ie $30. Came pretty sharp, has more weight to it than I was expecting. It was awesome, you have my gratitude. oh, and you might want to oil it regularly if you wipe the factory oil off. the leather sheath looks very good also n is quite sturdy. Looks good on the wall too :-). Such swords were used by other Greek warriors though the ones used by the Spartans were shorter, measuring 30.5 - 45.7 centimeters (12 to 18 inches).
